The thematic sequence could use more variety to communicate the theme, which I think is dog training. You could show dog treats or other props involved with training the dog.
The candle story also needs more variety. All the images are shot from the same angle. This gets visually dull. The candle seems to be the subject so you could try taking the fire and candle blowing pics from the POV of the candle. This could add comedy to the sequence.
