Pros Being Pros - Assignment 1

INT. LOS ANGELES AIRPORT - DAY

Kobe Bryant is talking on the phone with his wife and waiting to get his bags after his long flight back to Los Angeles.  Then he suddenly sees his longtime friend Michael Vick walking out of a terminal at the same airport as him. 

AIRPORT (O.S.)

“Flight from Philadelphia as now arrived” (Over the intercom)

Kobe: “Hey let me call you right back I think I see someone I know!” (Vick walking out of terminal) Hey Michael, how have you been? I haven’t seen you in a long time! What are you doing here in Los Angeles?

Vick (Walking up to Kobe): Hey Kobe, I’m doing really well. I decided to come up and watch the game tonight between you guys and the Clippers since it’s an inner city battle.

Kobe: Yeah, tonight is going to be a good game.  The competition here is growing each year! Maybe we can catch a bight to eat real quickly at this Jimmy Johns in the airport and catch up on some things if you want!

Vick: I got plenty of time; we should probably make it quick since you have to drive back to the Staples Center here in a little bit. (They walk over to the nearby Jimmy Johns just a couple feet away)

Kobe: So how long are you going to be in Los Angeles for?

Vick: Only till tomorrow, I have a lot of traveling to do since my football season is over for the year.  I like to travel; it’s one of my hobbies.

Kobe: I love traveling! It’s nice to have time to yourself after a long season of physical work where you can just go sit down on a nice beach in Florida and enjoy some quiet time. Where are some places that you are going to?

Vick: After here, I’m going to head to Arizona and do a few days of hiking and then I’m going to fly to Paris and enjoy some site seeing.  What are your plans after the season?

Kobe: Well, the team and I are planning on going to Disney World after we win the Championship of course. (Both are laughing).

Kobe: But really, I hope to travel to Disney World and then hopefully fly to Italy where a few of my close friends live that I haven’t seen in many years due to being very busy with basketball.

Vick: Yea I hear yeah, being involved in professional sports can be very difficult at times by trying to have some free time, but the benefits from it are something that we can’t complain about.

Kobe: We are very fortunate to travel around the world and experience things that other people will never get to have.  Well, I do have to get going and get a shooting work out in before our game time.

Vick: Yes we are very fortunate; you should come back to your birth city soon since Philadelphia is where I play football if you haven’t forgotten.  Good luck tonight, score 81 like you did a few years ago!

Kobe: Yeah, let’s make that happen! And I’m just looking for a win tonight, but scoring 81 points again would be something huh? Have a good one! (He enters a limo and drives off)
