Personal Wake-Up Call
Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose wakes from a deep sleep. It's June, 2004 in the back of a Tour Bus in Paris. Frantic, he sits up and yells aloud.


ROSE: Whoa! Ah .. it was only a dream.

DARRELL: Yep..a complete dream.

ROSE: What the…

DARRELL: What’s up stranger, heard you’ve been quite the showman these days.

ROSE: Dimebag… really, is that you?

DARRELL: It ain’t f__ing Santa Clause.

ROSE: I must still be dreaming…

DARRELL: Look, Morgan. I don’t have much time. I was sent here to tell you that your time is near.

ROSE: My time.. meaning, I’m going to die?!

DARRELL: Everyone dies. I’m talking about your time to shine.

ROSE: I’ve been working my --- off, man. We have a new guy on the strings since Clint left…

DARRELL: (interrupts) Clean your act up, Rose. Your kids need you, and so does the band. Life is too short… take it from me.

ROSE: I’m doing fine man, we’re all fine. ‘Seasons’ just went multi-platinum.

DARRELL: You can’t take it with you, you know…

ROSE: (thinking) Absolutely.

DARRELL: Don’t let your talent go to waste. Tomorrow, you’re gonna get up & finish our dream.

ROSE: (nods.. falls asleep.. wakes up) Man… I gotta stop drinkin. My dreams are ridiculous!! (rolls over to find a Pantera guitar pick on his pillow). Oh sh--!
